Stones, Bones and Stars Curator and Presenter, Greg Stewart, is a highly experienced and accomplished teacher, educational consultant, speaker and entertainer, who has worked in mainstream schools, hospitals and other special settings for 45 years, supporting child and adolescent learning, mental health and well-being.

For the last 8 years Greg worked as a teacher and educational consultant in child and adolescent, inpatient and outpatient programs at the Austin Hospital School in Melbourne, where Stones, Bones and Stars sessions became a highly successful feature of the curriculum. In 2024 Greg continues to present Stones, Bones and Stars workshops to young people in the Austin School's inpatient and outpatient programs, delivering outstanding learning outcomes to young people experiencing significant mental and physical health challenges.

As well as being one of Victoria's most experienced classroom teachers, Greg also holds qualifications in adolescent mental health from the Faculty of Medicine at Melbourne University and is a recipient of the Victorian Department of Education and Training Outstanding Teacher Award.

Stones, Bones and Stars evolved from Greg’s life-long fascination for archaeology, palaeontology, astronomy and geology and his passion for collecting and preserving significant artifacts and natural objects from those worlds. Early in his long career as an educator, Greg discovered the power that these objects possessed to engage, connect, enthrall and inspire young learners. Stones, Bones and Stars is the culmination of his commitment to placing these wonderful objects into the hands and imaginations of young people, so that they might fully experience, understand, learn from and be inspired by them.

Greg is also an accomplished musician, whose diverse musical background includes television appearances, recordings, concert performances, hotel and club residencies and musicals. Greg is currently performing with vintage rock / pop band Too Late For Sorry; you can check them out on the link to their web site here :  toolateforsorry.com.

Ray Stewart ( Legs )

Ray Stewart or 'Legs', as he was more widely known, was Greg's younger brother: a charismatic and fearless adventurer who literally searched the world for treasure, in his role as a hands-on developer of large gold and precious metal mines throughout the world. Some of the treasures of the Stones, Bones and Stars Collection were discovered by Ray and he often features in their stories. The SB&S collection and its work are dedicated to Ray's adventurous spirit, his fearless approach to life, his power to connect with people and his curiosity about the world, its history and its place in the universe.
